Dear Boréal customers and friends,
Today, as the Chairman of the Board and a proud member of our great Boréal family, I wish to share with you a decision that was difficult to make. It concerns the temporary shutdown of our Boréal North Shore factory in Chertsey, Lanaudière, for the 2024 season.
The factory, which opened in 2022, aimed to support our 2 other existing factories in producing over 300 buildings per year. In the current economic context and considering the increased productivity of our facilities in Alma and St-Paul d’Abbotsford, we have adopted a proactive approach to consolidate our operations.
For our current and future customers, I confirm that our factories will be able to meet 100% of your needs. And I take this opportunity to confirm that there are still several availabilities in the production schedule for projects to be built in 2024.
We are aware that such changes can raise questions. That is why I want to assure you of our commitment to maintaining transparent and open communication. Do not hesitate to contact my team members for any questions.
I wish to express my sincere gratitude towards our employees for their understanding and professionalism. Making a decision of this magnitude is never easy, but it is driven by our common desire for the organization’s sustainability.
With all my gratitude,
Patrick Girard
Chairman of the Board, Boréal
